Evonik and Siemens Energy commissioned the Rheticus pilot plant, converting carbon dioxide into valuable chemicals using renewable energy through electrolysis and bacteria, a form of artificial photosynthesis that helps close the carbon cycle. CEPSA and Zeton Collaborate to Achieve Marine Fuel Sulphur Reduction
Cepsa and Zeton renewed their 30-plus-year relationship on a unique project addressing new limits on sulphur content in marine fuels. To meet the reduced targets, Cepsa investigated technologies for producing stable low-sulphur fuels from heavy refinery residues, and Zeton built a semi-batch pilot plant performing solvent deasphalting at up to 350°C and 70 bar. Zeton Works with Standard Lithium to Complete a Direct Lithium Extraction Demonstration Plant
Standard Lithium Ltd. approached Zeton in 2018 to build a demonstration plant extracting lithium directly from underground brine in Smackover, Arkansas, brine already tapped for bromine but containing 200-400 mg/L of previously ignored lithium. Standard Lithium's proprietary ceramic adsorbent selectively pulls lithium ions from the brine, and after phased testing the plant was installed on site, confirming viability…
