KTI Forms Alliance with Zeton for ACE Technology®

Kayser Technology, Inc. (KTI) and Zeton International Inc. (Zeton) are pleased to announce an alliance wherein Zeton provides process control and electrical system design and support services to KTI for Advanced Cracking Evaluation (ACE) Technology® through Zeton’s operations in Canada and The Netherlands.

Faced with a supply chain disconnect at an existing supplier, and the challenge of migrating the control system to a next-generation hardware platform, John Kayser, President of KTI, chose Zeton to re-engineer its ACE Technology® with a new, state-of-the-art control and electrical interface.

Drawing on over 20 years of experience in designing and building custom pilot plants, Sean Murray, Zeton's Control Systems Manager in Canada, recommended the Honeywell HC900 Hybrid DCS as the optimal control hardware platform for KTI's ACE Technology®. System integration and QA/QC testing were successfully completed on the first ACE R+ plant to employ this next-generation hardware platform in February 2006 at Zeton's facility in Burlington, Canada. A second order is currently nearing completion with QA/QC testing scheduled for March 2006.

In addition to Zeton's preferred systems integrator role on the current ACE Technology® units, plans are in place to introduce new and innovative KTI technology and products to meet the evolving needs of FCC catalyst researchers worldwide.
